One of our LFS has 2 in-wall planted tanks and I find myself just standing in front of them lost in time. They look so peaceful and tranquil that I can almost imagine myself diving in them and just hanging out. Of course I'd have to be considerably smaller than 6'4 to do that

OK Paul .... this is my first FW tank, it is a 30 gallon .....

my opinion is ..... EACH aquarium can be very beautiful. You need only Phatasie and the necessary knowledge about the needs of plants and animals.

Thats a really nice tank.

The depth to length and height raito is different on a 55g than a 30g, even though the are the same width.

I wish I would have remembered to bring the camera to Steves Because the stand is virtually done. Turned out great.

I think I decided on a stain. Varathane 236. I brought home a couple of pieces of scrap wood to try it on. Just need to get some samples.

I picked up a piece of drift wood at work tonight. It is amazing. I love it!
It looks good in alot of positions- I don't feel like taking pics, you'll get to see it when it goes in the tank.

This thing should be running pretty soon now!!!

I bought a vent guard for the intake of the plumbing system ans will buy another for the return. Painted black it looks pretty nice. it is in a reducing bushing in the pic.

Stained it tonight. Color is nice but it didn't come out so well, its a bit uneven.
