| Reef Shark ![]() | Re: Discus Fish I raised and bred discus for years. BEAUTIFUL fish, but very tempermental. I never did care for the "pigeon blood" discus, just not a natural color morph. I had several species and varieties in my tanks, from "red-spotted greens" to turquoise, wild heckles. and many others. I got some of my original broodstock from Jack Wattley in the 80's, when he was "King of American Discus," and many more from various other breeders. I shyed away from the ones coming from China, Singapore and many other Asian breeders, as they were coming in with "The Discus Disease" at the time., and lots of defects. I got hooked up with Bing Seto in Alameda, one of the original Kahleeforneeya discus breeders, and got some VERY nice show fish from his hatchery. Bing Seto's Discus World Homepage for Tropical Fish Hobbyists and Breeders A great site for discus people is here: SimplyDiscus
