I might be after I got the diy stand and canopy I am really considering a 3 gallon planted picto aquarium what kind of plant would be good for this kind of set up. this will be for either a male betta or some small tetras. Also disregard the 37 gallon problem solved thread.

I would go bigger. Much bigger than pico. Java moss would be goo though.

Would hairgrass also be good. I am really just looking for a quick cheap set up
to tied me over until I have my 37 set up as an sps set up.

You could do hairgrass but IMO its a pain in the butt to keep in the gravel or sand I always had problems with it and ended up taking it out of my tank.

For the 37 I am going with softies and some of less demanding laps.
what kind of plants would give me some hieght without being a pain in the butt.
