Amano/ Yamato Shrimp babies

this is my 1st time breeding Amano/Yamato shrimp. i found my shrimp is carrying eggs in my planted tank. so i pick her out in a container.. here is the 4th day old babies. i am not sure if i can make it..

sorry for the blur photos, cause they are too tiny to take photos.

this is the small container i put them now. comepare with my camera cover, the yamato bb is so tiny. if they can make it, will change to a bigger tank for them.

the eyes can be seen today

Bully, you may not yet realize this but this is very very uncommon, where are you getting green water from? Truly amazing and I hope for your continued success.Steve

Re: Amano/ Yamato Shrimp babies

lol, Steve I get some algea from Lou pond, put in a bottle with the water from my planted tank. then put under the sun. i put 2 tablespoon for the babies everyday. also i get some protien powder from office hehe :P

I had seen someone here success in this breeding, But he try 3 liters for only 1 baby survive. so I don't hope for too much :P, if I am lucky enoguh to have 1 baby.. guess i am happy enough LOL canot expect too much ya

Taro, do you need to add salt to the baby shrimp tank?
How much salt to add? Looking good.

Re: Amano/ Yamato Shrimp babies

yes, need to add salt, after 30+ days, have to reduce the salt slowly. i am not sure the ppm of salt needed, will check it out. i went to my friend shop. he give me some sea salt, and told me that is for 4 liter of water. so i just add the salt slowly into the small tank which is about 2 liter of water. if do grow bigger. i will move them to a 4 liter tank (1 gal) and add more salt, until the salt is finished. cause i didn't buy the tester for the salt. my firned just give me the dosage to put in.
