Re: awsome new fish tank but still fresh water!

Very nice Lee, the tank is coming along very beautifully. Kribs are another great fish to breed.
What type of rainbows are those? Look kind of like juvenile red rainbowfish?

Beautiful tank.
Looks like you are taking great care of it. Your fishies look very happy with their home.

yes i agree. most of my posts in my thread are of issues i have had then how the tank recovered. it puts some realism in it, wheather they post them are not everyones tank has issues along the way.

Re: awsome new fish tank but still fresh water!

I caught her last night fixing some plants!
I am trying not to push her with this tank to much. She has to want it. I am not expecting her to do it just to please me. Though i have to say, the tank looks pretty good! Shes got some algae issues but it looks like a common cycle. Nothing unwanted.

Re: awsome new fish tank but still fresh water!

Those long weedie kind of plant in my backround are getting pulled out by my fish and I don't like to have to put it back in the gravle every 5 minutes why are they doing that ? I like playing with my fish tank but not to much because I might have bad germs on my hands that will kill my fish so what could I do about those long weedie plants and my fish pulling them out ?

Re: awsome new fish tank but still fresh water!

they are rearranging things to the way they want it, like you are doing what you can do is use 100% silicone, ask your to get it for ya, and silicone that plant base to the bottom of the tank glass. that will keep them moving it around

Re: awsome new fish tank but still fresh water!

You can do that with live plants prow? I did not know that. The fish are not just pulling them. The angels seem to be nipping them also. This is not normal behavior for freshwater angels.

I don't have an answer about your plants but wanted to say thanks for the update. We all love hearing about your tank.

No, but that dose work for artificial plants. And angels will sometimes do that.
