| Midas Blenny | Re: Plants In theory, plants are a better filter than anything you can hang on the back of a tank. They can benefit from circulation, though. That can be hard in such a small tank. My 20 high planted is heavily stocked with fish - half being various algae eaters. I only have one power head inside, no filter and no breaking up of the surface. I run 55W of NO. It seems to work. I like Lace Java Fern - hardy, low light, and all that. Some people think it looks ugly. I have a big bush in my 20 which I've pruned and put in my tiny tanks. I have two 1G hex betta tanks with gravel, wood, and java fern. I also have a 2.5 with gravel, wood, java fern, and anubias. That tank also has a heat pad under the gravel (made for tiny aquariums) and is home to an albino paradise. It is a bit ironic since they can take cooler water than bettas, but the tank used to be home to a betta. My favorite plants are various anubias and cryptocornes - I have many kinds in my 6 and 20. Crypts root deeply, so I never put them in the smaller tanks. |

When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end.
