Re: Pictures of my Cardinal Tetras

I'm with Wit on that one.. I love all those pretty tetras! That's the ONLY thing I miss about FW is those cuties!! To be honest that's why I have Neon Gobies because they most closely resemble these fine fish.

Thanks for sharing... now make sure STEVE is working hard!!

Nitrate (NO3) reduction is directly proportional to percentage of Water Change.
Allen's home-made formula...currentNO3-((%WC*.01)currentNO3)=finalNO3 (thanks Luukosian)
This means if you change 50% of your total water volume (That's EVERYTHING) you'll get a net reduction of (NO3) somewhere around 50%.

Ask me about how to increase your REEF budget without going without FOOD!!

Re: Pictures of my Cardinal Tetras

I sometimes miss having a freshwater aquarium. I loved my clown loaches. I never tried a planted tank.

There are so many things I would like to do with aquariums right now, but not enough space or money. I would like a species tank for a frogfish or something similar. I would like to set up a pony tank. I would like another loach tank. Sigh.

The third one form the left looks a little like Steve!
One of my all time favorite FW fishes. I had cardinals too!

Re: Pictures of my Cardinal Tetras

Alot of people keep salt water tanks is because the fish and the corals have vibrant colours. Fresh water inhabitants are not as colourful. This is what I heard and notice. The Tetras is one of the more colourful fish and I love the reds and the blues in them against the Moss.
Moerover it is much cheaper to maintain a fresh water tank.
I see alot of and whenever there is a problem with Steve's Reef. More money out of his pocket.

Re: Pictures of my Cardinal Tetras

What I like about FW tanks, is that they seem so serene, the lighting is more subdued, they are slower paced and they are sexier than SW tanks.

On the other hand SW is adventurous, rugged and full of energy.
SW is like FW on acid! Bright colors and money to keep the addiction going!

So don't be mad at Steve, you've a great mix of sexy, adventurous and high energy!

Hi Daniel,
Her name is Buddie and I have a male Electus as well. He is a Rescued Bird and when he arrived he had no feathers. All plucked by him out of frustration. His name is "Pinky", no wonder he is frustrated, I do not see any pink in him.
I have an African Grey as well and he is called Chico.

Sure Dentoid, I have a Sasquatch who is sexy, adventurous and high energy. Better check him up when he gets home.
By the way, I cannot be mad at him. How can anyone be mad at a Sasquatch.
