Exclamation Oh, Clowns woke up Icky Today!

I saw 2 dot about a week ago, then it went away, its spreading.
The Other guy is clear. both are breathing fine, no itching, scratching. They stopped fighting!

my camera is really blurry
one more thing, does this one look like it could be a black clownfish?

Poor fish.
You are going to need a QT set up.

Very hard to tell from the pics provided, but I agree that they need to be moved to a QT for potential treatment.
Meanwhile post as much info as you have.
Size of tank, inhabitants, time you have had them, feeding routine, parameters. Anything you can think of. The more detail the better.

Re: Oh, Clowns woke up Icky Today!

It is possible but ich spots will often come and go as well.
I would get the qt ready and monitor very closely.

Once you treat them in the 10g it will have to be torn down if you ever want want inverts in there. again.

That is what a QT/hospotal tank is about. It is not a place to keep your animals long term. It is for observation and treatment of new or sick fish. There is an excellent sticky about setting up a qt tank. No LR, no sand. Just a small filter and heater with a few pieces of pvc for the fish to hide in.

Re: Oh, Clowns woke up Icky Today!

Absolutely correct. If you treat with copper (the best treatment for ich) you will not be able to keep inverts in the tank. You should however keep a qt tank around for situations like this and to QT new fish.

Re: Oh, Clowns woke up Icky Today!

Keep watching. It may even be tomorrow. With my Chevron it was covered with spots in the morning and they were gone by afternoon only to re-appear in the morning again.
I'm certainly not saying it is ICH just that I don't have enough info to say it is not.

I hate to disagree with you, Lynn, but we thought that too and Boomer said that the silicone can't absorb the copper. So as long as it's an empty tank, it should be fine.

Copper in silicone

That is what is happening to me! I have bubbles all over the place, so I don't know. The guy had all his fish really healthy at the LFS. I guess they just wake up bubbly hahaha.
Thanks for the link Niki
I fixed my camara, manual focus and cleaned the lens!
Better?
