Re: My Second Quarantine Tank

This Saturday will be 6 weeks that the Midas has been in QT.
I just read Lee's suggested procedure for acclimating the fish from the QT to the DT. Temperature and Sg are identical in both tanks.
PH probe is in QT and I dont have one in the DT. I will be checking the PH of the DT and adjusting the PH of the QT as necessary over the next couple of days.
Whooo Hoooooo!

Re: My Second Quarantine Tank

Thank you yet again Doni & Lee!
We couldn't have done it without you.

I acclimated Aurum to the DT last night after the MH went out.
All went well. There wasn't much to acclimate him to as the Dt and QT have such similar water parameters.

Transfering him was mostly stress free for us both.
He went into his PVS home and I just moved the pipe into the container

DT
Temp 78.9
Sg 1.026
PH 8.21

QT
Temp 78.9
Sg 1.026
PH 8.16

Aurum's first dawn on the new reef!

first breakfast - which he ate! - then a big day of discovery.
I want to stay home from work and watch him all day.

Re: My Second Quarantine Tank

Yesterday i also ordered my next fish from the Diver's Den at Live Aquaria.
Multicolored Velvet Wrasse
Cirrhilabrus luteovittatus.

He is to arrive Tuesday.
Since Divers Den has a stellar quarantine and disease prevention methods I am planning on the new fish being in my QT for 2 weeks just to make sure he is eating well and eating a variety of foods.
