GREAT Seller . . .

Well as some of you may have seen

MidWest Frags (http://www.midwestfrags.com/) (WMF) was having a sale on Zoas (http://www.reefsanctuary.com/forums/midwest-frags/52259-100-frags-10-under.html)

Well I had a couple of square inches of tank space that didn't have something on it so I went in with some locals here and we ordered a couple of frags.

The ordering process was surprisingly easy and straight forward even with ALL of my changes, requests and specific shipping details it was just TOO easy. In all honesty I was almost positive the order was going to be a total mess.

The ordered shipped on Wednesday (*Over night*) exactly as promised. When the box arrived the upper right hand corner was slightly bent in and the driver mentioned something about "wetness". I inspect it and notice no wetness so I take it home. Upon opening the box I see why a corner was dented in... the outer edge of the cooler inside allowed the corner of the box to be pressed in but nothing inside was even remotely damaged. The cooler was still tightly sealed and not a drop of water was outside of it.

I opened the cooler and WOW! What an amazing job of packaging.... Each frag was in it's own "specimen" cup, labeled by order number (we had 1 & 2), labeled by frag #, and labeled by the name of the Zoa. Every single one was done this way and carefully packed with styro-nuts keeping everything stable. Here is what it looked like as I first opened the cooler
Image: http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc265/BigAl07_01/Frags/IMG00251.jpg

then as I unloaded the top layer of frags the next layer was just as organized and clean
Image: http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc265/BigAl07_01/Frags/IMG00252.jpg

The paper work that came with this order was extremely detailed and accurate. I don't remember how MANY frags we got but there was ZERO errors in this order in any way. From my point of view (and I don't use this term lightly or often) this was the PERFECT Transaction!

Now to the corals. . .

Each coral was EXACTLY as told and pictured and some were BETTER! Some of the zoas were opening up within 15 minutes of putting them into the tank. Unfortunately I didn't get them IN the tank until lights out (long boring story) but at lunch time today they looked AMAZING! One of the other guys who went in on this with me sent me a text earlier stating
"*_Dude.. the zoas from last night are so bada$$.... do you have any you want to sell of yours? I want more. . . _*"

Once again I would consider this PERFECT Transaction! I suspect we WILL be doing business with MWF again.. maybe sooner than later :)

When I get home from work I'll take more pics and post them here...

I always try to support our sponsors FIRST and foremost (most of you already know that) but this time I couldn't find the product I was needing with-in our sponsors so I ventured OUTSIDE the box.

I was given a "heads up" from a fellow reefer that the "Reflectors" I'm looking for (48", Retro T5 HIGHLY reflective in a narrow 2" or less configuration) were available from ReefGeek if you call them direct. So I called and to my surprise they had them in stock and ready to go. I placed my order along with several bulbs.

The next day I get an email confirmation of the order (*and it's for $6 less than expected*) and the next day I get Ship/Tracking information. Greg @ ReefGeek was extremely fast, efficient and helpful with my questions and such.

3 days later (weekend in there) I get this package. Looks like a normal sized box (maybe a little larger than I was expecting) for 4' bulbs. I noticed immediately a small puncture hole in one end about the size of my pinky finger. I'm already planning my correspondence to them about the obviously damaged shipment. I open that box to find so much ROOM on the inside there's no WAY the puncture got to goods. Inside the MAIN box was a more appropriately sized box for 3 bulbs and 2 4' reflectors. But what was WILD is it was suspended ( almost like floating in mid-air) on all sides by some molded foam inserts. On each end and in the middle there was a foam "doughnut" around the inner box keeping it softly suspended and not touching any part of the outer box. I was impressed. I quickly opened the inner box to find all of my goods wrapped up inside of the reflectors and once again "padded" but this time with _*5,000,000,000*_ cushiony peanuts. This company takes Shipping & packaging serious. Everything was as expected or better.

I sent Greg at ReefGeek an email telling him next time to just have the pilot of the plane slow down and drop the box from the air because there is no way without some type of "Crushing" accident you could get damage in this box.

Job Well Done!!
