| Bryozoan | Re: Oddeysea Light I have a 48"odyssea light fixture that I bought a year and a half ago and have been rebuilding it ever since then, from the ballasts, fan, moon lights and halide bulbs, the next thing is the actinics...lol so I would save up or get dad to spring for a better product. Just my opinion though. |

| Do I look as lost as I am ![]() | Re: Oddeysea Light Ditto with Hemlock. There are some people who have had some success with that company (or whatever name they are going by this week) but there are WAY to many of the OTHERS for me to spend my hard earned money on a long-shot for quality. It's your money (or maybe your Dad's) but honestly that's not a company I'd put much (any) faith in. Also in addition to just plain crappy materials at one time they were known to have caused a couple of home fires. Not worth it IMHO.

It's ALL gotta go!! Nitrate (NO3) reduction is directly proportional to percentage of Water Change. Allen's home-made formula...currentNO3-((%WC*.01)currentNO3)=finalNO3 (thanks Luukosian) This means if you change 50% of your total water volume (That's EVERYTHING) you'll get a net reduction of (NO3) somewhere around 50%. Ask me about how to increase your REEF budget without going without FOOD!! | Serpent Star | Re: Oddeysea Light it wont work unless you modify it. the legs dont go out 6 inches in each direction. so if you built a hood yes if your just put it on top no. 72-12=60 not 72 you would have to make legs that go out 6+ inches. and i dont see any of those on the internet yet |
