| Manta Ray | Elos VS. Geismann I am setting up an Elos tank, and I am starting to look into Lighting. I have narrowed it down to Either a Elos Aqua Planet II or a Geismann Infinity. I am going to go with 250 Watt Metal Halides. I am just wondering if there is a 400-500 dollar advantage with the Elos. Does anyone here have either of thesse fixtures? ~Michael

| Angel Girl's Daddy ![]() | Re: Elos VS. Geismann I have heard there was an issue with it. That was some time ago though Michael so they may have worked it out. I know one thing. Elos aquarium buyers were not buying the full package tank and lights for a reason. I think this is a very nice light and $500 dollars more cannot make Elos light better. 48 inch Giesemann Infiniti 2x250W HQI + 4x54W T5 Light Fixture - Silver, 48in > 48in

![]() I still haven't seent he skimmer up close and in person, I'm VERY used to needlewheel and recirc skimmers. The venturi style skimmer that comes with the systems seem kinda old school to me I don't know what size system you are looking at, but I'd personally opt for a deltec/H&S/ER or something along those lines. Just my preference for skimmer types, although it doesn't sound like the people that have the NS skimmers are dissatisfied. The Sumps look great to me. I dunno what kinda time frame you are looking for your tank Michael, but you might wanna call up Jesse with what you want soon. Price increases are coming soon, and Jesse has been throwing shipping discounts for people buying this month.

| Wannabe Guru ![]() | Re: Elos VS. Geismann I can't afford them have have seen them up close as my LFS carries the Elos products and all I can say is, excellent pieces of equipment. If price isn't an issue then I would recommend it !
