| Pistol Shrimp | Canapy Placement Order of T5s I was thinking, does it matter what order the lights are placed from front to back in the canapy. I have a 75G with a canapy with 4 T5s (2 actinic and 2 regular with each pair on a separate timer). The actinics are on for 2 hrs before and after the regulars. Should they be installed front to back in the canapy as: Reg, Reg, Act, Act or Reg, Act, Reg, Act or Act, Reg, Reg, Act or some other variation and does it matter?

| Majano Slayer | Re: Canapy Placement Order of T5s The regular lights will provide the most PAR. The actinics provide some useful light, but they are used more because they make the colors more pleasing to our eyes. Some corals can fluoresce and turn the blue light into more useful light, but they will probably benefit most from light closer to the spectrum of the sun.

| Reef Addict (hopeless) ![]() | Re: Canapy Placement Order of T5s Placement isn't really that critical with only four bulbs. In an eight bulb set up you may be more inclined to stagger but the light spread isn't that critical with 4 bulbs. with that say I have mine staggered ![]()
