calcified ceramic shafts

today I made an odd discovery, vinegar comes in 5 and 7% the higher one is for pickling and seems to work much faster, I got a new impeller assembly as well for an old pump, upon inspection I noticed it was quite greasy, turns out this is a food grade silicon lube so picked some up at the pool supplier today, right now my pumps have to be stripped every 2 weeks or they seize up, Ill let you know if this helps or not.

Interesting, Is the silicone called "Super Lube" by chance?

I have a tube of this stuff I use to rebuild fishing reels. Just wondered if it was the same. I didn't realize it was considered "food safe". It should work very well for You! Thanks.

Every two weeks?! man Sas that to much. I haven't had a problem with a pump for 2 years or more now.
