For the smaller piping, you really don't need to use primer, as our systems don't develop enough pressure to blow a well-glued fitting apart, but there's nothing wrong with using it if you prefer. (I always do) Be sure to let the glue completely cure (24 hours or more) before hooking the piping up to your system.

| Torch coral | Re: what kind of glue should i use for my pvc hahahahaha. I used the Red Hot glue which is actually blue, they should call it hot blue glue. It does not require cleaning the pipe with the primer first. Thats why I got it. A lot of my PVC isnt even glued at all! hehe. Just the importnat stuff that could cause a seriouse flooding if it wasnt.

| Limpet | Re: what kind of glue should i use for my pvc Salty, if you are working with dry pvc see if you can't find some weldon 710. It sets up fast and I have never had a leak ever and I have done a lot of plumbing.
