| Sunshine Reefer ![]() | Stupid cheato question This is going to sound really stupid but I just cannot figure it out. Everybody says that cheato likes to tumble but no matter how hard I try it won't. I have a fuge that is separate from the skimmer. Part of the water from the tank goes into the first compartment of the fuge and then goes over a baffle into the main part of the fuge which contains a deep sand bed, LR and of course the cheato. Then the water goes directly from the fuge to the return compartment of the sump via a bulkhead low in the fuge but higher than the one in the sump. I have tried increasing and decreasing the flow to the fuge and have even tried adding a power heat to the bottom of the fuge and I just cannot seem to get it to tumble. Any ideas? Thanks for any and all ideas.

| Tridacna maxima ![]() | Re: Stupid cheato question It doesn't have to tumble. I keep mine in a fixed location inside my 50 gallon tank. I do periodically reposition it or stretch it out so more of it is exposed to better lighting.

| Majano Slayer | Re: Stupid cheato question Mine doesn't tumble once it gets too big or dense. I have to stretch it out and rip some off to keep it tumbling. I keep a hunk hanging near the top that doesn't tumble and a hunk down in the bottom that is gently tumbled.
