Flow problem Help

well i was looking at my sump tank which isnt in workings yet and i have all the equpiment. my overflow box does 900gph the ASM Skimmer pump does only 350 gPH and my return is 1000gph is that going to be a problem? the skimmer not circulating the water fast enough for the return pump?

It will work as is. I wouldn't change the pump on the skimmer if it is working right now. If your overflow is running full force you might want to throtle your return pump a bit. Depending on the size of your sump you might have bubble problems. But back to your original question, the skimmer will still work.

You may need to choke the return pump down with a ball or gate valve, but the 1000gph is going to be reduced somewhat depending on how high you are pumping the water. The speed of the skimmer pump should not matter, what doesn't go through the skimmer should flow past it on to the return pump.
