| Tunicate |  scratches starfire glass outside I have a two inch linear scatch and three smaller buff type zone scratches on the front surface of a new starfire tank. interested in your opinion on ability to have it professionally "fixed" or is this even possible. I wanted to get your professional or experience opinion before I talk to the shop I bought the tank from. The more I know the better I think. | Angel Girl's Daddy   | Re: scratches starfire glass outside I would call them up. You cannot buff out glass. Also you need to know that starphire is a lot softer then regular glass. You will need to be careful in the future. welcome to RS!

| The CodFather ~ | Re: scratches starfire glass outside yes, you can have it buffed out to a certain degree. The problem is that depending on the depth of the scratch, the removal of the surrounding material will create some sort of distortion ranging from barely visible to fisheye in apearance
