| Reef Lobster ![]() | To the Metal Halide/DIY gurus... Ok, need some help from those with more MH knowledge than myself. I think I had a ballast go bad and I want to replace it. I have a PFO triple 175W ballast. Two of the 3 bulbs work just fine, just one of the ballasts isn't firing. Not sure if it is pulse or not (don't know the difference and don't know how to make that determination). So here is the deal, can I throw 3 400W ballasts in there by just upgrading the ballasts in the metal casing? In other words, will the wiring, end caps, and starters be able to handle this extra bump? I have an electrician that I can pay to do this off the clock, but would rather do it myself if possible. I haven't had much time to inspect the insides of the case just yet, but hope to tear it apart this weekend. Any help is appreciated! Thanks Scott
