| Neon dottyback | Re: Ro/di Help I actually cut into my coldwater pipe leading outside to the backyard faucet and sweated an elbow with an extension and a faucet "hose bib", to this I added my input to my RO/DI (fortunately, I am pretty handy with plumbing)... UNfortunately, the water production is kinda slow but that's because 1) my water pressure is only 48psi (it should be between 40-80psi, so I'm at the low end of normal) AND because it's the dead of winter in NY and the coldwater tap temp is like 40 degrees or something! I'm filling a 2.2 gallon jug in about an hour or so. Can't do anything about the latter problem (cold temps), but I ordered a booster pump to try to take care of the first. Haven't installed it yet, will try for the weekend. Plus, I heard that higher water pressures yield better water quality with RO/DI systems. |
