heloo i have a 125 reef tank and i was wondering where to place power heads for max flow? and how many. thanks

What are you planning to keep in the tank?

Is it a 6ft 125 or a 4ft?

hers alittle about my tank, its 125g long, 50 g sump with good return, 50 to 60 pounds of rock in it now. 120 pounds of sand. its been running for about 3 weeks. i have two yellow tangs a sailfin tang, a clown and two anenomes.and a cleaning crew due tomorrow. my rocks on one side and i have one small powerhead in there

first, take the anemones back, they will not make it. your tank isnt cycled. what ever LFS sold them to you is one you really dont want to go to anymore.

I appologize for being the bearer of bad news again,( I think I did it in your meet and greet), but your tank is way to new to even consider getting an anemone. Most folks don't even think about it til their tank has been maturing for a year. I would seriously consider taking them back to the LFS for credit.

As far as flow is concerned, we need to know what you intend to keep because different animals require different flow.

DAMN!!!!!!!!!! thats not good. what if th lfs wont take them back? just let him die? i have two anenomes. a pacific wich is (or looks to be) doing great. and the other is not doing good. im really not trying to rush but might have already i guess. as for flow i dont know

They will take them back. If not, find another one that will, they'll be happy to rescue you once you tell them what happened.
