Reef lights and our internet

We noticed that since we got our tank a week ago our internet connection does not work when our reef lights are on. Does anyone have this same problem?

The magneto on our scooter would give off a weird frequency. We've been thrown off the marine base because it messed with their two way radios and you can hear it through the phone line in the house too.
I don't have that problem but I can believe it.

ballasts are notorious for leakage, in fact one of the main criteria in design is emissions, it could just be a bad ground and there are some plug in suppressors that might work.

Re: Reef lights and our internet

Depending upon the type of wireless network you have, you might be able to change the channel it uses. You need to change it on both the router (access point) side, and the computer side. They must match.

It may also be possible to cable it. This will give a more reliable connection.
