Noisy Powerhead

I recently bought a Rio 400 Powerhead for some circulation. It is driving me NUTS!!! I can hear the impeller inside rattle all the time. Is there anything I can do to fix this? Will it break in eventully?

I have two other oscilating PH's that I have to look at to make sure they are on they are so quiet.

I assume you've already tried unplugging it and seeing if it's just a random event?

I haven't have a power head noisy yet. Good luck.

Yea, did that today....Took it apart also and redid it just to make sure everything was tight...Still same noise.

There should be rubber seats at each end of the impellor shaft where it fits into the housing. One could be missing.

If that doesn't work try contacting the manufacturer. Most of them want you to be happy with their products.
