LifeReef Overflow box

WOW!!!!!!!!!

I replaced the overflow box that I had bought at my LFS with a new 1200 gph overflow box from LifeReef. I'm using a Sequence Barricuda to pump the water from the basement back up to the reef on the 1st floor. With the old overflow box, I had the flow ball valved back about half of what the barricuda was capable of.

I installed the LifeReef tonight and the ball valve controlling the flow from the barricuda is almost all of the way open now. WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!! The film on top of the water, while not really being that bad, is now completely gone! Tomorrow when I have more time I'm going to open the valve up all the way because I think this overflow box can handle it.

If anyone is even considering buying an overflow box, save your time and effort and just buy the lifereef. You WON'T be disappointed with it.

(i'm in no way affiliated with lifereef either, I'm just a guy filling up a closet with junk. )

Re: LifeReef Overflow box

I have only had one overflow filter box and I went with LifeReef based on other's strong recommendations that they are the best. I got the slim-line 600gph box and I completely agree with you tbittner!
