Medusa temp controller Beeping at me.

Ok folks I think I am going crazy. I keep kearing this noise which sounds like it is coming from my fish tank. The only thing on my tank which makes noise is my Medusa controller when the temp gets out of hand. My temp is right where it is programmed. So it is not the long solid alarm sound.

Problem: It is this beep every 15-20 minutes. Not a long beep but a pretty soft quick beep. It reminds me of a smoke alarm which is beeping to let you know the battery is about dead.

I can not find my directions to this, nor can I find it online anymore. I guess they quit making it, or were bought by someone else?

Question: Is there a battery backup internally which would need to be changed? Has anyone else ever had a mystery beep out of their temp controller? Does anyone have suggestions? Does the beep mean the probe needs to be replaced? I am reaching for ideas or suggestions.
