Protien Skimmer pumps

I am looking for a new skimmer pump for my protien skimmer. I am useing a mag 5 atm and want to jump up to or betwen 700-900 gph. I was wondering if anyone knew of a pump with a needle wheel pump that fits this flow.
I was thinking of doing a diy on a mag 7 but thought i would see what you all might come up with.
I have a nautilus SE skimmer that i am modifying atm so you know what i am dealing with.

sedra pumps are great. they make a needle wheel for the 700's and 900's. i think it will work for ya. a great pump BTW.

The current lie here is my lfs is "getting" sedra's very good reviews, or theres always the RED DRAGON hehe

I got a Sedra needle wheel pump today. It pumps 500 gallons ph. What a bubble factory it made out of my skimmer! I can't wait for it to break in and see what kind of skimate it produces now. I took the skimmer apart and cleaned it real well so it will take the night to produce anything. I will post some pictures tomorrow.

no problem bro. something else you will like to hear about these pumps is they last forever. my current return pump is a sedra 1200gph and that pump has be going for about 15 years and still runs like it was new. even the same impeller. after i had that one for a long time i could not find these pumps anywhere. one LFS got them in a few years back, i ordered one of each size they made. still have 4 new in the box in the closet. did not think i would them again for awhile. but now they are easy to find. i am still happy i loaded up on them. currently i am using all sedras on my big tank. all run perfect and best part you have to stick your head under my stand to hear them.

I ordered a sedra 9000 needlewheel two days ago for my new skimmer. I would like to poke a couple holes in the skimmer and run 2, one recurculating and one to feed it,... but #2 will have to wait a bit. I have spent a fortune on the new setup latley...John Kelly sold me one of his DIY skimmers, (36" tall, 8" dia), and a Aqua 25w UV sterelizer for $125.00. The UV was used less than a month. Then I bought a sequence dart for my CL, two 33g breeder tanks for frag tanks, a Iwaki 100 main return pump, bulkheads, PVC, etc.. I am lucky I still have food on the table.. lol..
