Doing a normal water change using the new RO/DI water is a great idea.
Keep using the RO/DI for top off and water changes. I would do weekly water changes of about 25% for several weeks. Let your tests be your guide. When you have 0 amonia, nitrites, phosphates, and nitrates <20 then you could start adding coral. Start with something relatively easy like mushrooms or zoas and take it from there.
You cannot rush a reef tank or you will just be rushing towards disaster or at the very least throwing away money by adding corals too soon and having them die.
i already have those levels- so im good? i did a large water change with rodi water and my fish are doing fine.

ammonia, nitrtae, nitrate, phosphate 0
calcium 400
ph-8.4

Re: rodi and current set up

Hmmm, if your levels are really that good and your lighting is sufficient I don't see any problems adding hardy corals now. Acclimate them slowly with driplines of course. Good luck!!

thank you so much for the help and i hope i didnt confuse you

ok lets think about this....

A. any tank thats filled with fresh water wether RODI or tap... is no longer filled with live rock...

your looking at dead live rock...

IMHO i would remove all the water.. dry and clean the rock off.... then replace the rock in the tank. get an RODI setup.. get your self a holding tank.

bring that water to the temp of your tank...(80.0F)

mix your water to give or take 33PPM fill your tank with salt water.

then after you got that all setup and runing how you want it... seed it with piece of LR.

just my thought.
