| Star Polyps | Sequence Manta Ray? The pump I am using for my 300 gallon is very loud. It is 2 HP and pushes around 7K gallons/hour. I need a pump that will still push at least 4k per hour but I need something that won't sound like a train going through the basement. I saw that the Sequence Manta Ray pushes 4200 gal/hour up to 55'. I think that would do it for me but does anyone have any experience with it? Is it quiet? I am open to any other suggestions. I have probably around 22 to 24 ft of head loss with two exit pts. Thanks for the help, Stil |

| They misunderestimated me ![]() | Re: Sequence Manta Ray? Quiet and reliable. What pump do you have now? Quiet is sometimes a relative term ![]()

| They misunderestimated me ![]() | Re: Sequence Manta Ray? The largest Sequence I was aware of was 1/3 hp. But it looks like a Baldor motor from the label, which is what sequence uses. You'd be saving a ton on just your power bill by going with the reef flo manta ray pump. I'm not sure how much quieter it will be though. Perhaps someone with more experience on the Sequence line will chime in.

| The CodFather ~ | Re: Sequence Manta Ray? I've seen plenty of setups using a sequence hammerhead. The only thing heard is a very slight humm... great pumps
