RE: Eheim Pumps

Eheim 1262 Pump - Marine Depot - Marine and Reef Aquarium Super Store

I am looking into purchasing the Eheim 1262. I wanted to get any feedback (positive or negative) on this pump. Thanks in advance.

Re: Eheim Pumps

Reza, I think this is a good pump. I have one on my Koralline calcium reactor. The customer reviews are also very positive at Marine Depot.

Re: Eheim Pumps

VERY reputable company. Their pumps are usually very quiet and dependable.

I've never seen a negative review on a eheim pump

Re: Eheim Pumps

I'm sure one day I'll come up with something bad to say about them :P

Reliable quiet pump. Nothing more, nothing less.

Re: Eheim Pumps

I also would consider the Eheim pumps to be excellent products. However, there is still the question of what do you want to use the pump for?

Using an excellent pump in the wrong application is still going to cause problems in one form or another.

For example, if you tried to use the Eheim pump as the main return pump for a 300 gal tank, it would be far too small. If you tried to use the same pump in a 5 gal nano, it would be far too large.

Re: Eheim Pumps

I am planning on using the pumps for my returns on a 90 gallon Oceanic Tech tank. I wanted to use two Eheim 1262 pumps. Does this seems to be ok or would it be too much flow?

Re: Eheim Pumps

I think they would be a little weak for that purpose.
