Question tunze? used?

would anyone recommend buying two tunze 6060 used in a reef for 6 months, and what would you pay for them? Not so sure it would be a good investment used that much. Thanks Keith

Re: tunze? used?

tunzes are great products, i wouldnt have a problem buying them used for only 6 months...usually used items go for about half of what they are new.

flow wise, there is no comparison. the hydor's are basically a powerhead that produces a more disperse flow pattern allowing for higher flow rates in a small unit. the tunze's flow is even more disperse, but the same pattern, and the flow rate is adjustable. you can create surges of high and low flows or chaotic without it going on and off. the hydor 4 only go one speed 1200gph. the tunze 6060 can alternate flow speeds between 300-1600gph every 2sec-a few minutes or set to run one speed.

the only + thing for the hydor 4 compared to the tunze 6060 is looks. the hydor is smaller and sleeker than the tunze.
