Ok HOW did you get 3.5 when I just got mine 2 weeks ago and only have 3.4.16 version 3.4 update 16

I just have the WRONG connetions!!

I ordered it from the same place I got a SWEET deal on my controller! "Salty Critter" (or something close to that)

I need the NEWEST version . . . .

I have my software hooked up. What fun! The lights, moonlights, and temperature are programmed on the seasonal phases. I made a few adjustments to the temperature to set the lowest to 77 deg (instead of 75) for now. I also set up the alarms to email me if the temp or PH get too high/low

A dedicated website will be next.

Hey Doni.. what are you "graphing"? I only have Temp and PH but I added "E:HET" which has a rating of "Manual On, Auto On, Unknown, Auto Off, Manual Off" which I thought would tell the status of my HEATER (which before anyone asks IS on the controller). But that entire field is always BLANK on the graph. Am I missing something?

OK so I'm a newbie to controllers and I haven't tried any of the software. I simply set up mine using the touchpad. All seems to be well. I don't think I've even got an interface cable but my nephew probably has one in his computer junk box.

Would it be stupid if I asked (OK, maybe it would) what the benefit is to the software and what's the difference in the programs?

The software allows you to control things manually (turn lights ON for visitors etc), graphing, and just tons of cool "fun" things. The Free Software allows you to "View" lots of things and the Paid version lets you do actual programming from the computer. Well worth the purchase price especially when you're a Reef Geek
