Just a question, do you have the temp probe and Ph probe in the same body of water (ie tank, or sump)?

If so try separating them. Put one i the display and 1 in the sump and see if you get different readings.

They are both in the tank. The temp and pH probes attached to the Reefkeeper are in the sump. There is always a small difference between the two. My heater and kalk is in the sump, so the tank is the most accurate place to get a reading. If I put the temp probe in the sump and it is in a different place than the pH probe, then the pH probe won't get the proper adjustment for temp.

I have already asked Curt if they would interfere with each other and he said no.

Try putting them in different tanks entirely.. maybe even different rooms Yeah I know.. I can't help it.. I just feel like a bone-head sitting here posting NEKKID without Travis here

Make sure that the wires connecting the probes to the controller are as far away from any electric wires as possible. The voltage from the probes are measured in milliamps. That is .0001x amps. If they are run close to electric cords, a cord for a pump for instance, it would really mess with the accuracy. Even though the wires to the probes are shielded, they can still be affected by external power sources.

It is very close to a MJ1200 wire. I am going to move it.

BTW, anyone know if I can use the temp probe from my Reefkeeper on the ACJr?

Lorraine, I don't know if you can switch the probes. Probably not ...

I don't know either because some probes have a transmitter/amplifier built into them and some don't. Chances are probably pretty good that you can interchange them, but I don't think I'd take that chance. It might damage the controller.

I moved the temp probe away from all wires. It reads 96 degrees this morning. A disconnected the heater from the controller, and the heater stuck on, temp raised to 78 (good thing it is undersized).

I have mine mounted on the stand down low so it's out of sight unless you're LOOKING for it. The next one will be mounted inside the cabinet totall concealed from the outside. Sorry no pics though.
