Profilux II Plus

Hey all,

Just thought I would start a tread to discuss the Profilux II Plus. I have just got mine up and running...well as much as I can while it cycles.

Anyways, with a new product and new users around I just thought it would be good to start some chat and share experiences with this unit.

I use Aquacontrolers by Neptune Systems on two of my tanks....

Thanks Boozeman! I will have to check that thread out....Its nice to have the main distributor in Canada, I hear you guys south of the boarder are screaming for more.

Once i get a better feel for the unit and all it can do I will surely post some comments. My first thought was that there is NO instruction on how to change the defaul language from German to English! It took a bunch of button pushing but I finally found it. Other than that not much else to say at this point.

I know it comes with some great add-ons. The additional view finder looks pretty sweet, I saw it at my LFS this weekend. They also have a great moonlight that is fully controllable as well as a fan unit for cooling the tank. This seems to be a great option instead of a chiller for smaller tanks, summer is coming so who knows if I will have to add that to my setup or not? Prices are very reasonable for the accessories as well - the viewfinder and fan unit run in the $160 CAD range.

I am just wondering if anyone else out there is using one of these controllers? I've had mine now for about 3 months but have just started to use it to control my lights etc. As per usual in this hobby I find the instructions don't really help with the actual set-up of the system...Ie numbering powerbars etc that can be more complex than one would think.

I found a few users that have taken the time to speak with the company in germany to work out these problems and the link Booseman posted above seems to have the biggest following and thread for these units.
