| Scopas Tang | Closed Loop Ok, looking for some real advice on this one. My wife and I cannot stand the look of powerheads in the tank. I have a couple temporary in there to help with flow but I think I'd like to install a closed loopo system. Here's what we have to work with 180g acrylic tank overflow on 1 end only. It's a "see-thru" so both ends could be utilized. Hard to get at ends but could be done with language and luck. How many holes? Reccommended pipe size? (im gussing 1") how many pumps? what size? tubing over or under the tank? ![]() You can see i have room above and below. Not the greatest photo for example but the ends are behind drywall already. This will be a pretty good project but with all your help I'm sure we can pull thru. Appreciate allthe input guys..thanks ahead of time!!!

| Brunt of all Jokes~ | Re: Closed Loop Closed loops are great Jorgens, I think as long as you use locline fittings its easy to adjust, you can run a loop above the tank, biggest thing is how much flow you require, the more heads the bigger the pump, you could run the pump outside the tank and hide the pickup quite easily, there is the rare problem with trapped air or a leaky fitting so make sure your joins are good. good luck Steve
