Re: Lighting Help ASAP!!!

Well I Want To Keep Some Corals Eventually And Fish, I Plan On Having Two True Percula Clows, One Randalls Pistol Shrip, One Hi Fin Red Banded Golby, One Coral Beauty Angel, And One Royal Gramma. I Will Probably Start With Lps Eventually As Ive Been Told They Dont Need As Much Light But As It Is The Fixture Will Give Me 5 Watts Per Gallon

Re: Lighting Help ASAP!!!

ive only been into this hobby for a while so im not as pro as most here, but id say to go with the 4 daylight and 2 actinic that it comes with. at 5w per gallon youd have quite a setup for adding some nice corals.

Re: Lighting Help ASAP!!!

Does the fixture have individual reflectors for each bulb or is it a single reflector? T5's get their potency from the reflective light, so indivdual reflectors for each bulb is the way to go. That is why all the big names are set up that way such as the Tek, Aquatinics and even the IC retros use indivdual reflectors.
