https://www.marinedepot.com/md_viewI...product=AV2193

hey guys, im looking at getting this, do i need a pump to push the water through it or does it just get placed after the return pump?

and it says the inlet is 3/4" but my return pump i think has a 1" outlet?

Re: UV question

you can put it inline. but it will decrease return rate by about 30gph.

are you using it as a preventative or proactive filter?

Re: UV question

i guess pro-active, nothing wrong with my current tank and i am building a 90 gallon with 40 gallon sump/fuge and i have heard they are good to have and help with clarity and to ward off harmful bacteria

Re: UV question

now my tank is a 90 gallon AGA with a megaflow overflow, is there a return rate i should be targeting or will the 750 realm be ok?
i have read that the megaflow will handle 600 gph and at a 4 foot return the 780 should be right around 600, so minus the 30 i t hink i'll be safe

also, what about the inlet/outlet sizes, will this be ok?

sorry for so many questions
