First WC with basement sump!

I just did my first water change since I moved and set up my basement sump. OMG is it great! Still have to start a siphon to my floor drain but never have I done one so fast and easy. 25 gallon change maybe 10 minutes. I am so happy I set up my basement sump. My fish are clapping their fins as I type.

Re: First WC with basement sump!

i have system that works without sump. Ii'm not that lucky)
i'm using 50' long hose (food grade) and attaching pump to it (rio) one end with pump to tank the other to basement sink..... when water will drop to the mark on the tank..... swith...... pump goes to can with mixed water and other end to tank.... super fast.... no splashes

Re: First WC with basement sump!

I know how you feel , makes it much easier. I dont have a sump yet, but I have a room behind the tank with a sink and all I need for a quick water change..
