| Midas Blenny  | skimming in the QT Hey all, i have had my quarentine tank cycling for about a week now and i was wondering if i should start to use the protein skimmer yet?...It's a 20 gallon aquarium with a HOB biowheel filter and a powerhead...Thanks |

| Reef Shark   | Re: skimming in the QT Personally, I start the skimmer as soon as the tank is full of water, and skim all the way through the cycle... Different strokes for different folks...

| Re: skimming in the QT I agree with Boomer, I start skimming as soon as I set up and stop when medicating, depending on the treatment. |
