| Need Opinion Quick on Skimmer Found a new/used Won cu-300 Skimmer and the Sen 900 pump for it for what looks like a good price. I can't find any reviews for this skimmer. Any one use it or know anything about it. My sytem is altogether about 275 gallons. |

| Reef Shark ![]() | Re: Need Opinion Quick on Skimmer Can't speak to the quality or efficiency of the skimmer, but IMO, the Sen pump is pretty good. Sort of a Sedra knock-off. I have 2, (came in package deals) (700 & 900) that I've used for years moving water from one barrel to another...the 700 did have a bunch of the motor epoxy disintegrate (made a HUGE mess and I had to dump 30+ gallons of water) , so it got relegated to NON-tank uses, but still works fine. In fact, I pumped my Doughboy pool out with it last year! That being said, personally, I don't like, and will NOT buy Won Bros. products. I've never had one of their heaters last even 6 months, and it galls me to buy ANYTHING made in China.

| Midas Blenny | Re: Need Opinion Quick on Skimmer For a tank/sump/fuge water capacity of 275G that skimmer is way, way too small to meet your needs imo. That thing would be OK on a 75G tank, but that's about it. The diameter of the neck is far to small to meet the needs of your tank. You should be looking at a really serious skimmer to handle 275G. Something like a Deltec, or top of the line Euroreef.

| Reef Shark ![]() | Re: Need Opinion Quick on Skimmer Pulled up their site... "Tank size 50 To 200 gallons" Even using their optimistic ratings, that's WAAAAY too small to be effective on your tank... I'll second Craig's recommendations, and add H&S as an option, or even an ASM G-5 or G-6...
