Re: ASM G3 in the house!!!!

G3 in the house. I know you'll love it. I don't have the gate valve mod. either. I run mine in about 8-10" of water and it does great. I emptied about that much out of it yesterday Jorgens. That was 4 days worth. These things skim like crazy.

Re: ASM G3 in the house!!!!

Congrats on the G3! I have a G2 also with the mod, the mod allows you more control over how much back pressure there is. It would be the first thing that I would do to that skimmer. I noticed a huge difference in the skimming capabilities of this skimmer with the mod. I would say it is completely worth it!

Re: ASM G3 in the house!!!!

Hi everybody!
i was curious as to which pump that you'll are using with the G2 or G3??
I had a G2 with a Seio?? pump that did not work very well at all, i had to
get the pump replaced 3 times. I was really frustrated at that point, and ended up buying a new skimmer, but it does not work as well as my G2 at getting the goop out of the water.....

Re: ASM G3 in the house!!!!

Well all the ASM skimmers come with their own pump... As for the name of the pump I am not sure.... I am sure it is not a seio though...

Re: ASM G3 in the house!!!!

Congrats on your new skimmer. You will love it.
I have a g4+ without any mods and it pulls great skimmate. It is a bit of a pain to adjust and I guess that is where the mod comes in, but I am afraid to screw anything up so I am running it the way it came. It's doing a great job on my reef.

Re: ASM G3 in the house!!!!

Lynn I'm with you on messing stuff up. I don't have the gate valve mod either but my G3 works like a champ. I have to clean the cup 2 times a week and thats with it easily half full. I adjust it to skim wet and leave it be.

There are a couple of links to RS sponsors who have the ASM G series.
I have a g4+ on my system and love it.
