| Reef Shark ![]() | Re: Lighting if you get a 430 ballast, it will run 3X 110 watt 46.5"/48" bulbs, and a 660 will run 4 of them.

| Reef Shark ![]() | Re: Lighting Gives you the option of upgrading by 50% if you decide to add any corals. IMO, 2X110 is ok for some low-light stuff like mushrooms and xenia, but not nearly enough for much more.

| Re: Lighting Dont Forget To Acclimate Those New Lights To The Tank, You Should Mount Them Higher Than Needed By A Few Inches To Start And Lower Them Slowly Over A Few Weeks To The Desired Final Height. |

| Reef Shark ![]() | Re: Lighting You can also use a few layers of nylon window screen to acclimate the tank to new lights. Just remove a layer every couple of days till the tank is to full light. When you're done, roll it up and store it somewhere clean till the next time. (and there's ALWAYS a next time...)

| Sea Pen | Re: Lighting what about t5 with a reflector? i am very happy with my icecap 4X t5ho happy enough to want another kit, my tank is 24x24x48 the 4 lights arent quite enough
