Re: Tunze Nano Stream

i'm awaiting my 6045!! can't take it anymore after i saw Billys 6025. me want me want! I wanted an oceanflo and was on there waiting list until i saw this little guy. fortunately my decision was easier because oceanflo is closed at the moment. I did, however, still buy an mjmod for giggles. Figure i have the pump and at there price.... why not.

Very cool ! Eventually I will switch to the Turbeller nanostream 6025 and they are very reasonably priced.

Re: Tunze Nano Stream

shells, definitely not the nano streams... you'll want to go with the turbelle streams, the normal sized tunzes. i'd say 6100s if you're going to run them on a sps dominated tank... giving us your tank dimensions and flow setup right now, that will help.

Look at the Tunze Turbelle stream kits if money isn't an issue (about $760 for the base model pair with the controller).

Otherwise... I would get two Tunze 6060's ( about $280 for the pair no controller) You can keep your maxijets and put them on a wavemaker and save serious money.

my tank dim. are 6'x2'x20". my flow set up, , i'm not sure exactly what you mean, but i've got two overflows, one in each corner, i'm not sure what size
the return pump is, but it pump water up to a T which comes over the back
of the tank and into the tank. then inside the tank, which is driving me crazy, is 4 1200 maxijets.

thats pretty much it, i have a 1200 maxi on one end of the sump, just to
keep that end from getting stagnent, blowing towards intake from the overflows into the sump, the skimmer and return pump.

Re: Tunze Nano Stream

I just want to pass along a suggestion that someone posted on a review at RC. The Nanostream holder comes attached to a piece of box material. The tabs that click into the magnet base are wedged in the box material and can easily be broken off if you are not extremely careful when removing it. The reviewer from RC actually broke his tabs off and had to use super glue to attach the holder. If it were not for his tip... I would have broken my tabs off in the excitement of unpacking my pump.

On a different note... my two Koralia Hydor #3's arrive tomorrow from Foster Smith. I will post a review comparing them to my Tunze Nanostream.

The smallest nano is rated 11 to 53 USgal... so their will be serious flow in a 5.5, your tank inhabitants may not appreciate the excessive flow.

2 Tunze 6060's would work.
