| Posting & Toasting! | Re: best timer? Homedepot sells a digital timer that can be hardwired to a outlet. You can build a box with howevre many outlets you need hardwire the timer to the outlets you want to run on intervals and leave the rest constant. Be sure to use GFI on the constants except the ones with the return pump and heater. I will build one of these when I get my 8 footer with help from my friend who is an electrican and I will post instructions and a diagram at that time.

| Bryozoan | Re: best timer? use seperate timers just a simple light timer will do put each type of light on its own timer set them all at the time of day then set when you want them to come on and off. it is also a good idea to put the halides on a gfci or ground fault circut intrupter so if the power goes out and comes back quick it will not cause damage a gfci will trip if there is any problem or if power to it is cut off in any way |
