Anyone need anything made out of pyrex? - Page 26

in case I forgot to mention in anyones responses please include the dimensions or any special instructions in the payment. I've had a lot of inquries to the pod hotels so just a reminder a standard size is about 4" 's tall by 3" 's I can adjust those dimensions somewhat so please let me know.

Good to see you Jay! Congrats to the wife. How is that purple coral doing anyhow? You might be the only person out there that has it at this point.

it completely stopped growing for a while and stopped showing polyp extension. A nearby blue acro bleached at around the same time. I believe the culprit to be a bad batch of reef crystals. Luckily I didn't use the whole bucket and switched to Tropic Marin and I've seen a huge improvement and its showing Polyp extension again and the blue acro is getting color back.
It hasn't shown much growth however. Not untypical for a stony thats been shocked by bad water conditions. I hope to see some growth soon though. Luckily it had encrusted well so I think it should do just fine.
What happened to the parent colony?? Its definetly not big enough to frag but when it is I can frag it and send it to you.

I gave the mother colony to a friend and it did not make it. I know of one other that has it. Just keep it alive, it is a very slow grower but polyp extension is a good sign. I have been contemplating on getting my frag tank up and running for corals again. I'll be on the look out for rare stuff soon enough I have a feeling

gawd that thing looks so freaking sweet in your tank. You definetly had better coloration. I'm giving it time though.

just a reminder for those of you with 12mm droppers. I use mine every week to help clean the tank. I have tubing that fits snuggly on the pointed end, remove the bulb, and I just start a siphon and it gives me a good tool to clean around corals and rocks where my normal siphon hosing or tank cleaning tool can not reach. It works fairly well for removing hair algae as well as some others.
when I got the dreaded cotton candy algae that came on some frags it was absolutely priceles for removing it around zoanthid colonies. I know I've mentioned this method before but the thread has gotten quite long and I thought I'd bring it up again.
