Re: Show us your DIY Aquarium

I built my 100 gallon Tank. And I had a friend build my cabinet. I have a rubbed bronze frame on the tank. The glass is 1/2 inch thick. and the bottom is 1/2 inch tempered. I think it looks better than store bought ones. The skimmer and the canister intake and return and the heater are now gone. But this gves an idea about the tank.

Re: Show us your DIY Aquarium

Ill take some more pics today. The tank will be an SPS/clam tank. I wanted as much light as possible so I only made it 16 inches deep. 52 inches long and 28 inches wide. I have alot of surface area. And alot of space for aquascaping. I jusst dont have the hieght that many here do.

Re: Show us your DIY Aquarium

I would love to put this in the chronicle's, but its going fresh water so not to appropriate, Stainless steel construction, 28'' x 24'' x 18'' tall, will have 150w mh and 2 24'' T5's, powdercoated textured pewter, sump, Co2, overflows, all the fun stuff (when Teresa tires of planted tanks he he he its all mine lol)

with a SW set up there is one basic fundamental rule that we ALL should follow
When in doubt... wait it out. This means take it slow and let the tank "develop" and don't rush it. Time is your friend
