| Plate Coral | Re: Glue Wow, $40? How big is the crack? If it's small you may be able to use some super glue or aquarium silicone, I'm not sure though. The PVC "glue" is, if I'm not mistaken, a solvent that actually melts the PVC's surfaces to bond it. I don't think it reacts to/with the rubbermaid plastic you're talking about. Good luck, I hope it works out for you.

| They misunderestimated me ![]() | Re: Glue Is it a section that would be submerged? You might be able to melt it together with a little torch, I don't know if that would work or not, that also might release some chemicals though. Other option if it's not submerged would be good ole duct tape ![]() But in all seriousness I would check Home Depot or Lowes and see if they have some inexpensive Rubbermaid Brute containers that would be the same size as you have. It would be a lot safer option for your floor and cheaper than a wet dry vac that you will need to clean up the mess if the other container breaks.

| Golden Moray | Re: Glue If there is a pop facility of any kind around, you might be able to get some drums made of food safe plastic. Just clean it real good, its lemon pepper, not lemon lime. LOL ![]()

| Reef Addict (hopeless) ![]() | Re: Glue Most all true Super Glue products are reef safe. Don't get anything that is "color changing" or has any other additional ingredients. Honestly I would opt for buying another type of container rather than spending the time and trouble of fixing this one. If it cracked due to age you're going to get MORE cracks. It's just not worth the risk. ![]()

| Golden Moray | Re: Glue Dude JUST GET A NEW ONE. It won't last forever. Chances are, the crack has compromised its structural integrity.
