| Re: Fish trap ,no strings attached! What makes the door go down. Is it in a slide all the way down or might it get jammed as it falls uneven? Awesome idea and construction though. Remote control is great. Hide in the bushes till you got 'em where you want 'em. |

| Acropora | Re: Fish trap ,no strings attached! Thanks ,I was concerned the clip wasn't clear. I'm still cracking up that it works. However, A remote fishtrap is not a well maintained aquarium! I have a lot to learn. Scuba Steve, You are correct, the door slides in a channel all the way down. If the door sits too high and fits too loosely it will bind & not fall. Acrylic was too light & flopped around due to flow in the tank. I used glass, it was more heavy & less subject to water current. I just copied Wookstock's trap pics & made a few modifications. |

| Acropora | Re: Fish trap ,no strings attached! Yes ,that would help.Jaming only becomes a prob when the door is set real high.Like 1/3rd of the door is in the channel the other 2/3rds is above the trap. Also positioning the pin in the center keeps it balenced . Jammng may not be such a problem if the door is held at the top. I'm not sure. |
