Do you know where I can purchase DIY RO/DI Parts?

Hello,

I was wondering if you happen to know of any places that I can purchase DIY RO/DI parts from? I was going to research if building my own would be cheaper than purchasing one.

I would need the bracket that holds everything together, the container for the RO filter, containers for the sediment/carbon/DI filters, 1/4" flexible hose, and all of the connectors.

Thanks for your help!!

Good Luck and Have Fun!!!;

I've read that most of the cost is in the filters, as opposed to the housing, so I honestly don't think you will save much with DIY.
I would check Aquatic Reef systems for filter prices.

Here's prices on most of the stuff you would buy.
Just FYI, I purchased my 100gpd 5 stage unit on ebay for $125 shipped. I think it would be hard to build it for cheaper than that.

I agree with mps, I just purchased a 6 stage RO/DI 110gpd unit with resevoir and faucet assembly for 130 shipped off ebay. I also purchased a booster pump from them with the selenoid, transformer pressure switch etc and they are gonna send me them together with no additional shipping charge. I think you would be hard pressed to build one for what I've got in it shipped.

110 gpd RO/DI $110.00 buy it now w/resevoir and faucet

110 gpd RO/DI $86.00 buy it now no tank or faucet

85 gpd RO only $96.00 buy it now w/resvoir and faucet

They also have an 85 gpd unit w/out the tank and faucet for a little cheaper, couldn't find it though.

both Inreef and Aquatic are great places I've used them both. If you are looking at trying to lower the cost start with just a bare bones then add on stages as you can. You should also get a TDS meter. That will let you know how many stages you will need plus how well your RO/di is working.

After a lot of searching online for parts, there is no way (at least that I am aware of) to build my own RO-DI filter cheaper than purchasing one already built online.

Oh well...it was worth the shot!!!

Good Luck and Have Fun!!!;
