Beckett injector

Hi,

I've read about a venturi injector named Beckett. This small piece is placed between the pump and skimmer to get thousands of small bubbles.

As we know, skimmer efficiency strongly depends on the bubble size and amount of them. As far as I know, this unexpensive and small injector does the best.

I know you can get it at Home Depot stores in US, but I live in Madrid and don't know where can I buy it.

Anyone from US coming to Spain would be so kind to get it for me?
Anyone knows where can I get it in Europe?

Greetings.

It's a pretty light-weight item. I'm sure someone could send you one from the US to Spain for cheap if you were to pay for shipping (+ item cost). But to use a Beckett head requires more than just popping it into your skimmer. It needs a specific housing you would have to build. They are meant to run on modified HSA skimmers (I think I got that right). What kind of skimmer were you going to use it with?

Welcome to the forum!

The Beckett is second to the eductor system. IMHO
Becketts work really well, but are a little hard to get over seas. The eductor is a simple DIY with PVC. Here is a link to a thread that has them.
This is the one I have built with pics
Here is the link to the site that I biult it off of:

So how does the amount of skimmate compare using the eductor vs the Beckett? Have you stopped using the Beckett head from your skimmer?

The Skimmate from the eductor is a lot more than off the beckett. I retro fitted my eductor on my CPR SR-9 Skimmer and it is run by a RIO 3100 pump. Works excellent. It skimmed really hard for about 3 days then sarted to back off from not having anything else in my tank to skim out. The first 3 days I filled a 2 1/2 gallon bucket full of dark skimmate.
