The automatic fish tank.

Hi all.
I hope this thread finds you well.

I've been working on a little project in the garage. It's a gift for a friend of mine and her kids. My goal is to create a mixed reef tank that needs very little maintanance.

I've created the basic structure from two ten gallon wally world fish tanks and scrap wood.

Here's the roughed out system.

Re: The automatic fish tank.

Thanks everyone, for your encouragement.

I drilled some holes in one of the ten gallon tanks for an overflow and return. I used thread together fittings with o-rings between them for bulkhead fittings. One side takes pvc, one side is a barb fitting.

Here's the back of the tank with the top on.
